A Visit to CHOA with the GHA

On March 24th, 2017, I, along with 10 other Goizueta Healthcare Association (GHA) members had the privilege of touring Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) and meeting with executives in the Marketing, Physician Practice Operations, Strategy and Financial Planning departments. CHOA is one of the largest and most prestigious pediatric healthcare systems in the United States, and a true staple of the Atlanta community with 3 hospitals, over 10,000 employees,  622 licensed beds, trauma 1 and 2 centers and over 1,900 physicians. It is easy to describe CHOA using facts and statistics, but what they do is extremely clear and...

What Happens After the MBA Job Hunt Ends?

Whether we admit it or not, getting that dream post-MBA job is at the forefront of every MBA students mind. The company research, interview prep, and networking can be exciting, challenging, stressful, and frankly, all-encompassing. One-Year MBA Program Frequently Asked Questions

In working as a Goizueta Ambassador, helping prospective students with their MBA choice, and speaking to friends and colleagues about their MBA interests, I get many questions about the One-Year MBA Program here at GBS. I will tackle the experiential side of things, but please...

A Conversation with Dean Brian Mitchell

Having completed two semesters of Business School, I believe that faculty is the top influencer of the MBA experience. In my opinion, a school can have the top facilities, a great location, and amazing students, but all of those factors can be mitigated by a sub-par faculty. The best part of the summer experience of the Emory 1-year MBA program is that we, the students, have had direct and unfiltered access to all levels of faculty. I have really enjoyed getting to know the faculty and leadership here at GBS, and after polling some classmates, it sounds like...

ONE YEAR AT GOIZUETA: STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS

Coming into Goizueta this summer, we, the One Year 2017 MBA class were already aware of the great legacy of those that preceded us. This legacy starts with Roberto Goizueta himself, the legendary Coca Cola CEO who took an already established iconic global brand to new heights with new bottling and financial strategies. The legacy then trickles down to the long list of prestigious alumni who have roamed the halls of Goizueta. All around the world, GBS alumni work as CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies, heads of state, successful entrepreneurs, and much more. We were greeted in our first...
