What initially drew you to Goizueta Business School?
What initially drew me to Goizueta Business School was the combination of academic rigor, leadership development, and the close-knit community. Coming from a military and finance background, I was looking for a program that would challenge me strategically while also surrounding me with collaborative, high-performing peers. Goizueta stood out because of its strong emphasis on leadership, real-world application, and the accessibility of its faculty and alumni network. The culture felt personal and highly relationship-driven, which was important to me as someone who values teamwork, mentorship, and long-term professional relationships.
What has been your most memorable experience during your time at Goizueta?

My most memorable experience has been the opportunity to collaborate with classmates from incredibly diverse professional backgrounds on complex case work and live business challenges. Whether working through strategic finance, operations, or leadership-focused projects, I’ve enjoyed seeing how different perspectives sharpen decision-making. Equally memorable has been being part of the veteran community at Goizueta, where shared experiences of leadership, resilience, and service created an immediate sense of connection.
How has your Goizueta education prepared you for your next career step?
My education at Goizueta has strengthened both my technical and leadership capabilities. Through coursework in strategy, finance, operations, and organizational leadership, I’ve become better equipped to solve complex business problems and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders. In my current role as an Associate at BlackRock, I’ve already been able to directly apply what I’ve learned in areas such as financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven executive storytelling. Looking ahead, I plan to continue building toward senior leadership roles in corporate finance, strategic planning, and real estate investment, where I can help drive growth and enterprise-level decision-making.
What advice would you give to incoming students in your program?
Take full advantage of the people around you. The classroom is important, but some of the most valuable learning comes from your peers, alumni, office hours with your professors, and the broader Goizueta network. Be intentional about building relationships early, ask thoughtful questions, and do not be afraid to lean into opportunities that feel outside of your comfort zone. The growth often happens there.
What’s one piece of advice you received at Goizueta that you’ll carry with you throughout your career?
One piece of advice that has stayed with me is: “Leadership is less about having the right answer and more about asking the right questions.” That mindset has been incredibly valuable in finance and strategy roles, where success often comes from framing problems correctly, aligning stakeholders, and driving thoughtful decisions rather than simply producing analysis.

How do you plan to stay connected with the Goizueta community after graduation?
I plan to stay actively involved through alumni engagement, mentoring incoming students, especially veterans and those transitioning careers, and participating in recruiting and networking events. The Goizueta network is one of the school’s greatest strengths, and I want to continue contributing to that community by supporting future students as they navigate their own professional journeys.
What are your long-term career goals, and how do you see yourself making an impact in your chosen field?
My long-term goal is to grow into a senior finance and strategy leadership role, ideally at the intersection of investment management, real estate, and corporate development. I want to help organizations make disciplined, data-driven decisions that create long-term value while also developing teams and future leaders. Given my background, I hope to make an impact by bringing together strategic thinking, operational execution, and people leadership to drive meaningful business outcomes.
