Heart racing. Walking into the Career Management Center, suited up, Goizueta padfolio in hand, smile spanning ear to ear. Waiting patiently on the couch, heart still racing. Stepping into the quiet office, sitting opposite of a complete stranger who’s here to evaluate my every word.
On the morning of Aug. 1, I arrived at the East Wing of the Goizueta Business School to start my first day in the Master of Science in Business Analytics Program, as a member of the inaugural class.
On my first day at SOCAP, the leading global conference about stimulating capital markets to create social impact, there was a clear energy and buzz running through the halls of San Francisco’s Fort Mason Cultural Center…and it wasn’t because of the ample free coffee.
Two Full-Time students give firsthand look at IMPACT experience
One thing that you’re sure to find at any business school is group work, and Goizueta is no different in this aspect. Class projects are an integral part of the curriculum, and I would say that most classes at Goizueta have some sort of team element to them.
As an Atlanta resident before starting the One-Year program, working through the month of April felt tempting, but I’m glad I took a one-week vacation before starting. Re-adjusting to student life can be a bit of a challenge for the first couple of weeks.
There is one thing that I believe holds true to the MBA career search for Goizueta students across industries, functions and programs: the support starts before day one.
