Atlanta’s Music Midtown offers great escape for MBA students

Sunshine, tunes, friends and cold beer — pretty much everything an Atlanta graduate student needs to check the box for a Saturday (and maybe even Sunday) well spent! I knew, of course, that Music Midtown would live up to its reputation for great bands and a laid-back vibe, but this might have been the best production I have seen to-date. For visitors who have traveled through Atlanta, often a few big names (and coincidentally, destinations for many Goizueta MBA grads) come to mind: companies like Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines (Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is Delta’s home base), fun places like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Georgia Aquarium, and historically important landmarks like the Sweet Auburn district, home to Martin Luther King Jr.’s boyhood home and a significant center during the American Civil Rights Movement. TWO YEAR VETERAN REFLECTION

Submitted by Benjamin Feldman, U.S. Army Veteran and Two Year 2016 alumnus. Co-President of Goizueta Veterans Club 2015-16. I’ve just finished my 2nd year, full-time MBA at Goizueta, and previously I was an active duty, U.S. Army infantry officer for 7 years.   For many reasons this past  semester was a great one, but the biggest reason was that I decided to accept my full-time offer from Citigroup here in Atlanta, and so my wife Alison and I are very excited to settle down here in the city. I had a great internship experience with Citi this past summer, and...
